A computational resource improves the analysis of human tumours

The computational tool developed by the Laboratory of Structural Bioinformatics and Network Biology at IRB Barcelona, led by ICREA researcher Patrick Aloy, associates 23,000 genetic mutations with various complex diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer’s and diabetes. The presentation of the dSysMap tool in the journal Nature Methods, and its inclusion in the international consortium Pan-Cancer for the analysis of human tumours have had a considerable impact in the media, among these the “Diari de Girona”.
