Report on the main approaches being developed by top Spanish scientists of international standing to find new therapeutic options against cancer.

The report highlights the work conducted on CPBE proteins by Raúl Méndez, ICREA researcher in IRB’s Molecular Medicine Programme, and the research by Joan Massagué, cofounder of IRB and current chair of the International Scientific Board of the centre, on metastasis, which is being addressed from his lab in the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

The Oncology Programme of IRB is also engaged in innovative projects in cancer metastases, mainly focused on those derived from cancer of the breast, colon and skin.
