In an article about a study that links changes in the activity of the immune system to seasons, La Vanguardia includes statements made by Salvador Aznar-Benitah, ICREA researcher and group leader of the Stem Cells and Cancer group at IRB Barcelona. Aznar-Benitah, who did not participate in said study, considers its results as “extremely interesting because they tell us not so much that our immune system responds to environmental stimuli, but, as in the case of stem cells, that it prepares itself in advance".
