The Prospective PhD Student Recruitment Day is addressed to students from Spain who are currently doing their masters degree or are in the last year of their university degree and are interested in doing a doctorate degree in biomedical sciences. The event aims to provide prospective PhD students with an overview of the Institute for Research in Biomedicine, its international and multidisciplinary scientific environment and the services, resources and networks available.

The event will coincide with the opening of the IRB Barcelona PhD fellowships call that will grant a number of fellowships to talented, highly motivated students to start work toward their PhD at IRB Barcelona in September.

Programme

13:00- 14:00 – institutional presentation by the IRB Barcelona Director Joan J. Guinovart
14:00- 15:00 – Meet-and-greet lunch at the terrace with research group leaders and members of the Student Council
15:00- 16:00 – Tour of IRB Barcelona facilities and laboratories, led by members of the Student Council and the Academic Office
