IRB Barcelona in the media
Nature Genetics publishes a meeting report on international conference "Drosophila as a model for human diseases," held in October at IRB Barcelona.
7 May 2007
The report is authored by Juan Botas, Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. The conference was organised by Cayetano González and Marco Milán, ICREA research professors at IRB Barcelona, and brought together twenty-eight top researchers, and more than 200 participants, to discuss their perspectives on how the fruit fly is proving useful for studies on cancer, diabetes, neurological disorders, drug addiction, aging, and immunity.
