The “Acércate a nuestros científicos” section of the website run by the “Sociedad Española de Bioquímica y Biología Molecular (SEBBM)” devotes its latest edition to the director of the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona), Joan Guinovart. Through the article entitled “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”, Guinovart explains his main areas of research, which focus on the study of glycogen metabolism and the contribution of this process to human disease.
