IRB Barcelona seeks to recruit a Lab Technician to work on the project “Dissecting Stress Adaptation Across Eukaryotes (CellAdapt)" funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) with reference number PGC2018-094136-B-100. The candidate will join the lab of Dr. Eulàlia de Nadal and Dr. Francesc Posas at the IRB Barcelona (https://www.irbbarcelona.org/es/research/cell-signaling).
We are looking for a motivated individual with teamwork skills to join Dr. Eulàlia de Nadal and Dr. Francesc Posas team focused on the characterization of stress signal transduction pathways, especially those regulated by MAP kinases of the Hog1/p38 family. Using S. cerevisiae budding yeast as a model organism, as well as higher eukaryotic cells, we are dissecting the molecular mechanisms underlying cell response to changes in the extracellular environment and characterizing the adaptive responses required for cell survival. The position will involve general laboratory support.
