IRB Barcelona is a self-standing, non-profit institution devoted to basic and applied biomedical research. It was set up in 2005 jointly by the Government of Catalonia and the University of Barcelona and is located at the Barcelona Science Park. The institute currently has more than 430 members (scientific, technical and administrative staff) from all over the world, who work across disciplines to advance research in the biomedical sciences.

IRB Barcelona seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to work in the Colorectal Cancer Laboratory (Dr. Eduard Batlle) at the Cancer Science Programme. The successful candidate will be employed under a fixed – term contract to cover a 3 years project starting from December 2019. The project aims to investigate the immune environment of metastatic colorectal cancer using state of the art model systems and genomic tools, including single cell profiling and mouse tumor organoids (for references see Tauriello et al. Nature. 2018; Batlle & Massagué. Immunity. 2019; Calon et al. Nature Genetics. 2015).
