A report in Diario Médico on the scientific careers of Joan Guinovart, IRB Barcelona director and researcher, and Susana Ros, an IRB Barcelona PhD student who will take up a postdoctoral position in London in January.

Scientists will use it to analyse the stress responses used by cells to solve genomic errors, and also to identify targets of therapeutic interest.

The Barcelona City Council, via the Barcelona Activa portal, has launched a programme called Do it in Barcelona!, to attract international talent to the city. This programme provides services with the aim to support and inform people aged between 25 and 45 interested in starting a business project, studying a masters or doing a research career in the centres of excellence in the metropolitan area of Barcelona. The pre-doctoral, researcher Valery Crowley, who is working in the Gene Translation Lab at IRB Barcelona, is one of the foreigner scientists who relates her experience in the city.
