Nuage Advances Precision Therapies

Nuage Therapeutics, a spin-off of IRB Barcelona and ICREA co-founded by researchers Dr. Xavier Salvatella, Dr. Mateusz Biesaga, and Dr. Denes Hnisz, has secured €1.8 million from CDTI Innovation to accelerate the development of its lead oncology candidate. This financial boost is further supported by a competitive grant from EIT Health, which will validate the company’s drug discovery platform targeting intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs)—biological targets historically considered "undruggable."

By leveraging these resources and expanding its leadership team, the company is developing next-generation small molecules for patients with limited treatment options for difficult-to-treat tumours. This milestone allows Nuage Therapeutics to transition foundational research into clinical applications, strengthening its pipeline and reinforcing IRB Barcelona’s commitment to turning complex biological insights into transformative cancer therapies.
