Eduardo Soriano received his PhD in Developmental Neurobiology at the University of Barcelona in 1986.
After several years of Post-doctoral training at the University of Lausanne and Frankfurt, he was appointed as Associate Professor at the Institute of Cell Biology (University of Barcelona) in 1990, where he was promoted to Full Professor in 1995. He has been Visiting Professor at several research Centers, including the INSERM U-106 (Paris, France) and Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharma at Princeton (NJ).
He has been honoured with several national Awards, including the "Rey Jaime I Researh Award" (2000), the “Fundación Ciencias de la Salud Award” (1999) and The “Francisco Cobos Biomedical Research Aaward” (2001), and 1 International Award from the International Institute for Research in Paraplegia (Zurich, Switzerland) in 1997.
He is currently Head of the Developmental Neurobiology and Regeneration Laboratory" of the Institute for the Research in Biomedicine-IRB Barcelona, in the Barcelona Science Park. He has co-authored over 150 publications in international journals.
