Batlle Wins Catalan National Research Award

IRB Barcelona's Cancer Science programme coordinator Dr. Eduard Batlle has received the Catalan National Research Award for his work mapping colorectal-tumour structure and uncovering dormant metastatic cells now being addressed in clinical trials.
The award highlights Dr. Batlle’s proposal of presurgical immunotherapy to eliminate residual disease and brings wider attention to his metastasis-prevention strategy, which could inform future standards of care for colon-cancer patients.
