The radio programme La Tarde broadcasted by COPE has interviewed Manuel Serrano, ICREA researcher at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona), about human aging.  Serrano emphasizes that one of the basic aspects of aging is childhood health. “Development is affected in a child that has had many diseases or infections.  It is believed that periods of ill health have future consequences”, said the researcher.
