Various media have echoed the appointment of Montserrat Vendrell as director of the recently formed Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST). The board of the institute has unanimously chosen Vendrell, who will assume its leadership in September. The Barcelona Institute comprises IRB Barcelona, CRG, ICIQ, ICN2, ICFO and IFAE.
