Abstract:

Cancer progression is driven not only by genetic change, but also by the remarkable ability of cancer cells to adapt and shift between cellular states. In this talk, I will describe our efforts to understand how somatic mutations shape both cancer cell vulnerabilities and cell states, and how these effects are further reshaped by cellular plasticity. By integrating large-scale genetic perturbation, advanced cancer models and single-cell profiling, we aim to uncover general principles that govern cancer cell fitness, adaptation and therapeutic response, and to use these insights to identify new opportunities for treatment.
