The Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) and its participating centers are pleased to announce the organization of "From Science to Business", a hands-on workshop with 5x one-day on-site sessions on entrepreneurship in research, delivered in collaboration with ESADE Business School.
Presentation
From Science to Business (FS2B) aims to equip participants with:
- A solid understanding of the business world and how companies generate value for both society and themselves, by offering better, safer, and more sustainable solutions in food, health, the environment, and quality of life.
- Insight into the competitive frameworks in which companies operate and how value is created within them.
- Practical experience in the process of new venture creation, with a focus on the role of science and technology.
- A clear view of how scientists and engineers are essential in launching new ventures, and how entrepreneurship can be a viable and exciting career path.
WHO
This course aims to increase the speed of turning innovation and knowledge into new ventures.
The program is aimed at BIST researchers (senior researchers, postdoctoral fellows and last year doctoral students as well).
