Barcelona apuesta por la medicina regenerativa

Hoy Josep Corbella, en el periódico La Vanguardia, dedica un artículo a la apuesta de Barcelona por la ciencia con aplicación en medicina regenerativa. Entre los laboratorios mencionados, el artículo hace referencia al de Plasticidad Celular y Enfermedad liderado por Manuel Serrano que estudiará la reparación de tejidos dañados para aplicaciones biomédicas en diversas enfermedades, con especial atención a la diabetes, la fibrosis pulmonar y la fibrosis cardiaca.

El nuevo laboratorio del IRB Barcelona, inaugurado este mes de mayo, está impulsado por la Obra Social "la Caixa" y el programa ICREA de la Generalitat de Catalunya.

Created in 2005 by the Generalitat de Catalunya (Government of Catalonia) and University of Barcelona, IRB Barcelona is a Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence, a seal that was awarded in 2011.
