La web de Universidades e Investigación de la Generalitat de Catalunya se ha hecho eco de la investigación llevada a cabo por científicos del IRB Barcelona y la UB. Se trata de una 'lanzadera' capaz de transportar moléculas al cerebro, producida a partir de un péptido presente en el veneno de las abejas.

Los resultados de la investigación forman parte de la tesis doctoral de Benjamí Oller, realizada en el laboratorio del profesor Ernest Giralt del IRB Barcelona y defendida en 2015. En enero de 2016, Benjamí Oller comenzó su formación post doctoral en Cambridge, Reino Unido.
