La revista Saber Vivir dedica un artículo al estudio codirigido por Cristina Fillat, líder del grupo Terapia Génica y Cáncer del IDIBAPS, y Raúl Méndez, investigador ICREA del IRB Barcelona; en relación a un abordaje innovador para dotar un adenovirus de una alta especificidad contra las células tumorales.

El artículo incluye los comentarios de Raúl Méndez sobre la eficacia de esta nueva estrategia para conseguir que los virus infecten sólo a las células del tumor y preserven las de los tejidos sanos: "Funcionaría con gran parte de los tumores".
