Global Colorectal Cancer Alliance

Scientific projects

Dr. Eduard Batlle’s lab has joined an international consortium to accelerate colorectal cancer research through CRC-STARS, a large-scale collaboration involving academic and clinical partners across Europe. This initiative brings together leading experts in cancer biology, genomics, and clinical oncology to address key unanswered questions in tumour progression and metastasis.

Funded by Cancer Research UK, the Scientific Foundation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (FCAECC) and other partners, CRC-STARS integrates experimental models, patient data, and advanced genomic and single-cell technologies to study how colorectal cancer evolves and responds to treatment. This approach aims to improve understanding of tumour heterogeneity and treatment response, with the goal of developing more personalized therapeutic strategies.
