El sitio web de noticias búlgaro Nauka Offnews, entre otros medios, se ha hecho eco del estudio realizado por los científicos del IRB Barcelona sobre la síntesis de glucógeno y niveles elevados de glucógeno en ratones.

Publicado en Cell Metabolism, este trabajo descubre que la síntesis de glucógeno no requiere de una proteína denominada glucogenina y que niveles elevados de glucógeno afectan al rendimiento muscular en ejercicios de resistencia en ratones.
