Predoctoral programme
IRB Barcelona currently hosts more than 130 PhD students, almost half of whom are non-Spanish nationals. We are committed to providing high quality training, offering close mentoring and access to a wide variety of activities, services and networks. Our goal is to stimulate young people to carry out creative scientific projects at the highest standard, and to become future leaders.

Complementary training
IRB Barcelona offers a wide range of activities beyond the bench that seek to develop core complementary skills in order to achieve a successful research career. In this regard, courses and workshops on themes of particular interest to pre- and post-doctoral fellows, such as lab management, science and grant writing, and innovation training, are offered regularly.
