IRB Barcelona is a self-standing, non-profit institution devoted to basic and applied biomedical research. It was set up in 2005 jointly by the Government of Catalonia and the University of Barcelona and is located at the Barcelona Science Park. The institute currently has more than 430 members (scientific, technical and administrative staff) from all over the world, who work across disciplines to advance research in the biomedical sciences.

IRB Barcelona seeks a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher for the Molecular Modeling and Bioinformatic Group directed by Prof. Modesto Orozco of the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona). The contract will be co-financed by the project "Multiresolution Simulation of Nucleic Acids" (MSCOM) with reference RTI2018-096704-B-I00, of the call R+D+i Projects of ‘Research Challenges’ 2018 of Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain and co-financing by the European Union, European Regional Development Fund (ERDF, EU).
We are looking for a candidate to work on theoretical computational studies of macromolecules, involving programing new algorithms and scientific workflows, using all kinds of classical and quantum mechanics methods (MD, QM, QM/MM), and applying bio-statistics with trajectory data.
