Speakers

Luc Marti, currently Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Cebiotex and previously Vice President of R&D Operations at Artax Biopharma (MA, US), cofounded Genmedica Therapeutics in 2005—a company partially bought out by the Ferrer group in 2013. His role is to coordinate R&D to bring new drugs for a variety of conditions, including diabetes, autoimmune diseases and cancer, from the discovery stage to clinical trials. The three biotechs he directly collaborated with have raised more than US $30 M in venture capital. He is also a consultant for various companies in the Barcelona area. Luc holds a PhD in Pharmacology (Toulouse, 1998) and an online MBA with specialisation in biotechnology from the IE business school (2010).
