Building Bridges in your Network (II): Alfons Nonell-Canals, CEO, Mind the Byte
The next session of Building Bridges in Your Network is on 16 June!
The Innovation Department invites you to come and meet the next speaker in the series, Alfons Nonell-Canals, CEO of Mind the Byte, a bioinformatics company specializing in computer-aided drug design located at the PCB. Dr. Nonell-Canals will talk about his experience as a scientist and entrepreneur and also introduce us to his company. The session will include something to nibble during the networking part.
Building Bridges in Your Network is a new programme set up by the Innovation Department. It aims to provide tools to help you expand your network of professional contacts in the biomedicine sector while working at IRB Barcelona. Each session will give you new contacts, as well as the opportunity to network with your colleagues.
Sessions are open to all IRB members. However, please note that only 10 places are available. In addition, a number of places are reserved for IRB Barcelona alumni.

Dr. Alfons Nonell-Canal holds a degree in Pharmacy and a PhD in Computational Chemistry. During his post-doctoral training, he specialized in computer-aided drug discovery, the development of software to modify active compounds, and the handling of huge amounts of chemical and biological data.
In 2011, Nonell-Canals founded Mind the Byte, S.L. and has been its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since then. Specializing in computer-aided drug design, Mind the Byte offers both products and SaaS technology (software as a service).
