Feeling mentally exhausted, unable to switch off after work, or constantly under pressure in your research environment?
You are not alone and there are practical ways to change this.
Research environtments are demanding. Long hours, high cognitive load, uncertainty, and constant pressure can make it difficult to sustain performance without affecting mental health and overall wellbeing.
This programme has been specifically designed to address these challenges.
Presentation
After completing his PhD in Switzerland and experiencing first-hand the pressures of academic research, Marcel Sorribas developed this training based on his work with the Spanish Meditation Society (a non-profit foundation active since 1976). The programme integrates contemplative practices with modern psychology and current scientific knowledge.
Improve focus and mental clarity in demanding work
Reduce stress and emotional overload
Learn how to mentally disconnect and rest more effectively
Develop emotional regulation in high-pressure environments
Improve communication and interpersonal relationships
Improve attention and quality of cognitive work
3 sessions of 4 hours each 10AM to 2PM: May 7, June 1, June 8
If you are unable to attend one of the in-person sessions, you will still be able to follow the programme through the online sessions and receive guidance to stay on track.
To support continuity and integration between sessions, optional online follow-up sessions will be offered on the following dates from 19:00 to 20:00:
- Weekly 1-hour sessions for 2 months (May 21st, May 28th, June 4th and every Thursday after the in-person programme)
- Delivered through the Spanish Meditation Society’s online learning platform
- Focused on consolidating the practice, address questions, and support real-life application.
Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions for the full experience, but the structure allows for adaptability when needed.
After completion, participants may voluntarily continue the online practice at a reduced fee, with adapted options available in cases of financial need.
Places are limited to ensure a high-quality learning experience.
