Antonio Zorzano: "Bioinformatics will help us to understand diseases"

In a double-page interview published in El Mundo newspaper, in the supplement “El Cultural”, IRB Barcelona scientist Antonio Zorzano explains the main objectives of the European project MITIN, which he coordinates. In this project scientists will apply bioinformatics, together with molecular medicine techniques, to study the intimate causes of diabetes, a multifactorial disease that is increasing in developed countries.

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease.
