Joan Guinovart, director of IRB Barcelona, answers the “Big Vang Questionnaire” of La Vanguardia newspaper. Guinovart responds with deftness to about thirty questions about his personal and professional life. Five minutes of reading that bring us closer to the figure of a scientist who “has been a tireless campaigner who has lobbied successive governments for the past three decades to get them to support research”, as described by the journalist Josep Corbella.

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease.
