Last summer, Anna Bacardit and Elies Delgado turned a difficult moment into a celebration of life and music. During the three weeks Anna was receiving radiotherapy for metastatic breast cancer, their project RADIO PATI brought together friends, neighbours, and well-known artists in the inner courtyard of her family home. Performances by Ouineta, Júlia Colom, Socunbohemio, and Mujeres transformed that small space into one of Barcelona’s most authentic stages, raising over €15,000 to support metastasis research at IRB Barcelona.
One year later, the “courtyard” is growing. On Monday, 13 October 2025, starting at 6:30 p.m., RADIO PATI will take over the majestic Palau de Pedralbes to mark World Metastatic Breast Cancer Day. The concert will feature performances by Uma, carlapérezvas, and a surprise artist, with all proceeds once again going entirely to IRB Barcelona’s Metastasis Challenge campaign to accelerate metastasis research. This year’s goal is to raise another €15,000.
Those unable to attend can still support Anna and IRB Barcelona’s cancer research by making a charity donation here.
To attend the concert, please follow these two steps:
- Register for the concert by filling out the registration form here.
- Make a donation here to the RADIO PATI campaign within IRB Barcelona’s Metastasis Challenge (minimum suggested donation: €25). Before completing the donation, please include the full name used in step 1 in the comments box.
Once the registration form has been completed and the donation validated, the reservation will be confirmed, and a QR access code will be sent.
Despite the progress made in recent years, metastasis remains responsible for 90% of cancer-related deaths. Through the Metastasis Challenge, IRB Barcelona invites everyone to join its call to action to raise €5 million to drive new discoveries that will improve the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of metastatic disease.
Driven by friendship and determination, RADIO PATI has grown far beyond what Anna and Elies could have imagined. The initiative has been featured in radio, television, and print media, and last October Anna was received by President Salvador Illa at the Palau de la Generalitat to mark World Breast Cancer Day. Both Anna and Elies highlight the project’s impact in giving visibility to metastasis among younger audiences and sparking conversations about the disease among their peers.
