SINC has published an interview with Joan Massagué, president of the Scientific Committee at IRB Barcelona and director of the Sloan Kettering Institute in New York, in which he comments on metastasis: "Most are annihilated by the immune system, but others mock the defenses, they manage to nest and over time they can grow. That's the metastasis: it's an exception, something that did not have to happen. Metastasis is like a criminal. That in a society there is delinquency does not mean that all people are delinquents ".
