The specialised medical newspaper, Diario Médico, devotes the report of the day to the supercomputer MareNostrum, with special emphasis on biomedical studies headed by the joint IRB Barcelona and Barcelona Supercomputing Center programme, through the Experimental Bioinformatics Lab.

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease.
