The Eldiario.es portal has published an article on the "100tífiques" initiative, led by the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation, the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Barcelona Education Consortium, and the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST), of which IRB Barcelona forms part. In the article, they quoted Muriel Arimon, Public Engagement and Science Education Officer of the centre, who upholds that "we can all do science".

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) pursues a society free of disease.
