"Thanks to research, cancer mortality rate declines 1% each year"

During the institutional act of the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (Spanish Association against Cancer)(AECC) in which financial support was presented to research projects focused on cancer, including an IRB Barcelona research project, the president of this association stressed that research has brought about a 1% decrease in cancer mortality rates yearly.
