The economic newpaper Expansión reports on the 20th anniversary of the Barcelona Science Park (Parque Científico de Barcelona (PCB). In the article, it mentions that, in addition to hosting biomedical start-ups like Oryzon Genomics, PaloBiofarma, Som Biotech and Kymos Pharma, it is also home to prestigious organisations such as the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona), the Instituto de Biología Molecular de Barcelona (IBMB-CSIC), and large companies linked to innovation, such as Esteve and Grupo Ordesa.

"This combination of organisations on the same site makes the PCB unique," explains the director of the PCB, Maria Terrades. "The PCB is not only a key component for the future of the University of Barcelona, but also for the Catalan and Spanish research systems," says the rector of the UB, Joan Elias.
