IRB Barcelona researcher and coordinator of the Molecular Medicine Programme Antonio Zorzano responded to journalists who wanted to know more about autophagy—the recycling programme that all cells, from yeast to humans, share.

Zorzano studies autophagy in processes such as type 2 diabetes, obesity and ageing. The IRB Barcelona scientist dealt with La Vanguardia, El Mundo, ABC and the newspaper ARA.
