The newspapers El Punt AVUI and Diari de Girona have interviewed Manuel Serrano, ICREA researcher and head of the Cell Plasticity and Disease Laboratory at IRB Barcelona, about the current projects underway in his group. In Serrano’s words, this laboratory “is working on finding new compounds—experimental drugs—that kill these cells (senescent cells)". The objective of this research is to understand why aging happens.
