Science magazine publishes a report in the section Focus on Careers on the initiatives launched by European countries to stimulate their economies. In Spain, the journalist highlights the INGENIO2010 programme, and specifically the CENIT initiative, which offers funding to public-private research consortiums. One of the CENIT projects is Melius, in which Joan Guinovart’s group at IRB Barcelona is involved.
