The recycling properties of Aβ40 and Aβ42 within amyloid fibrils recently described by a group of researchers led by Natàlia Carulla at IRB Barcelona are the focus of the American Chemical Society (ACS). The society devotes its latest Weekly PressPac to latest Carulla’s findings on β-amyloid protein dynamics. A one-page article addressing the implications of Carulla’s study in diseases such as Alzheimer’s or type 2 diabetes highlights the relevance of the results.
