On the occasion of International Women's Day, the magazine "El cultural" of the newspaper El Mundo devotes a report to women in culture.

The report includes statements by Gloria Pascual, Research Associate in the Stem Cells and Cancer Laboratory at IRB Barcelona, and first author of the study on cancer published in Nature that identifies metastasis-initiating cells through a specific marker, namely the protein CD36.

Asked about the work-life balance, Gloria Pascual stressed, “It is important that young scientists understand that it is entirely possible to combine motherhood with high-level responsibilities at the scientific level”.
