Diario Médico devotes an article to the line of research undertaken by Ernest Giralt at IRB Barcelona, together with associate researcher Meritxell Teixidó. The journalist explains the technology behind peptide shuttles that cross biological obstacles such as the blood-brain, gastrointestinal and cell membrane barriers. The objective is to design and synthesize peptides that bind to therapeutic molecules and transport them to specific sites.
