The VI National 'Doctores Diz Pintado' Cancer Research Prize acknowledges Salvador Aznar Benitah's contributions to transferring knowledge from basic to clinical research.

The ICREA researcher and group leader of the Stem Cells and Cancer Laboratory at the IRB Barcelona feels proud to have succeeded in building a group that encourages people to strive, to take their work seriously, to be passionate about it, and to work as a team. "Most people in the lab do not stay in it for more than four or five years, but the philosophy of the lab is always the same", as Salvador Aznar Benitah highlights. He believes that most of the people who have gone through his lab, or who are currently working in it, uphold this passion for science and the promotion of a rigorous teamwork.
