Eduard Batlle awarded the III National "Doctores Diz Pintado" Cancer Research Prize

On 28 January, in an academic act organized by the University of Salamanca on the occasion of the day of “Saint Thomas of Aquino”, Eduard Batlle, coordinator of the Oncology Programme at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) and head of the Colorectal Cancer Laboratory at the same institute, will be presented the III National “Doctores Diz Pintado” Cancer Research Prize.

Dr. Batlle’s scientific contributions during his career are recognized for their exceptional character, in both visibility and impact. His research group is an international reference in the study of colorectal cancer and the breakthroughs made by his lab have brought about improvements in the treatment and diagnosis of the disease.

The National “Doctores Diz Pintado” Cancer Research Prize, named after the doctors Manuel and Alfonso Diz Pintado, is awarded through the “Fundación de Investigación del Cáncer de la Universidad de la Salamanca (FICUS) – Centro de Investigación del Cáncer (CIC)” with the aim to promote and award the work of young Spanish scientists in oncology research.
