The side effects of drugs are among the main causes of hospitalization in the West. A study undertaken at IRB Barcelona by Patrick Aloy and Miquel Duran has analysed these effects, and the findings are expected to facilitate their prediction and avoidance in new generation drugs. The work has been published in Chemistry and Biology, a journal that belongs to the group Cell. TV3 news has devoted a news feature to the study.
